Dr Magnus Williamson

Magnus Williamson’s research interests encompass music from the fourteenth to the seventeenth century, particularly the sources and contexts of Tudor England; his facsimile edition of the early-sixteenth-century Eton Choirbook, published by DIAMM in 2010, was awarded the Claude Palisca Prize by the AMS in 2011. He is General Editor of the British Academy series, Early English Church Music.  He is also a keyboard player and improviser, recently collaborating with the Early English Organ Project and the ESRC/AHRC-funded Experience of Worship project.
