Workshop: Editing and Reconstructing the Baldwin Partbooks

One the aims of the Tudor Partbooks prject is to create a reconstruction of the missing tenor partbook from the Baldwin Partbooks (GB-Och: Mus979-83) and this workshop is the first stage in this process. Sessions on editing Tudor polyphony and completing missing parts will be led by Magnus Williamson, Owen Rees, Andrew Johnstone and John Milsom. Singers from Contrapunctus will participate on Friday afternoon, trying out editorial solutions and providing the singers’ perspective.
