Lunchtime Lecture and Demonstration on the Sadler partbooks and their music by Magnus Williamson with Julia Craig-McFeely, James Burke, and members of Stile Antico.
As a prelude to the evening concert in Fotheringhay, Dr Magnus Williamson - with members of the vocal ensemble, Stile Antico, Dr Julia Craig-McFeely and James Burke - will introduce and demonstrate the music of the Elizabethan ‘Sadler’ Partbooks and explain their local significance. Sponsored by the Arts and Humanities Research Council as part of the Tudor Partbooks research project, this event will demonstrate how choirbooks, partbooks and other Renaissance music manuscripts were used in practice
Performance ends at approximately 2pm
Tickets £6 via Oundle International Festival.
